The term is just a coverup since it isn’t, the justice system is a joke. And its very expensive to live there. But considering all countries have a downside ,South American ones such as Bolivia for example as it is the murder capital of the world, Whilst Asian countries are polluted beyond belief you could say Australia is lucky not luckiest.

I’m an American, I love living in Australia.
Life here is fantastic and nothing at at all like life in the United States.
A lot of personal addictions and social problems come from having very high disposable incomes and 24/7 social lifestyles. Also since almost everything here is totally legal and open 24/7 you can go out anytime you want , get what you want, drink, eat, gym, clubbing, gamble, grocery shop etc etc.
You don’t have to go to casinos to gamble or play the pokies (slots). Every pub, sports bar and social club has them, as well as punting facility’s for horse, trots and greyhound racing ,sports betting and Keno. If you don’t want to sit in a bar you can go to a race track or sports game seven days a week.
No one in Australia ever sits around watching TV or stays at home, the weather here too good to be inside. So 80% of the time when your not at work, your outside actively playing or spectating sport or socialising. At the pubs, bars , clubs, beaches, pools and drinking beer with your mates everyday.
Since pretty much everything is legal and the drinking age is 18 , there is low to no crime. Foreigners freak out coming here, finding out things which in their county are illegal are legal here. As well their are legal medically monitored injecting rooms and prostitution is 100% legal here. So their are no criminal connections to these activities because they are legal.
It’s mainly foreigners to Australia who go on a binge or bender and totally over indulge. On the Australia lifestyle. and become compulsive pot smokers, intravenous drug users, gambling addicts, alcoholics and prostitution addicted, which can lead people to depression and suicide .
In Australia, it’s very easy too fall into an addiction, if you don’t set limits and cant control yourself or your personal addictions. Their are millions of things you can do here, than drink, smoke pot, punt and gamble.
As why try and escape if its so great.
With having a high disposable incomes also over a month paid holiday off every year from work and cheap overseas flights. All Australians can afford to travel anywhere in the world they choose.
As for lucky, if you only knew what the Australian government monetary gives all of us, you’d say we are all pretty dam lucky in Australia.
