Legally? A doctor can legally mark any prescription for any length. However, every doctor I’ve went to provided me for 90 days for my pain medication. When I was put on Vicodin for my tooth, I only had a 7 day supply. I doubt any doctor would prescribe more than 90 days.

Lyrica is a schedule V controlled substance. This means that it’s abuse potential is considered to be among the lowest of all controlled substances. It’s diversion risk is also considered to be very low.
Substances that are schedule III or lower can be prescribed with as many refills as a physician sees fit. Schedule II substances cannot be refilled.
It is important to note that by definition all prescription drugs are controlled substances. Prescription Ibuprofen for example is an unscheduled controlled substance. It is unscheduled because the abuse potential is nil. Tylenol is not a controlled substance and is therefore available over the counter.
