I didn’t find it addictive at all. I was switched from xanax to ativan due to being addicted to xanax. It helped me out a bunch. I didnt get addicted to it either and when I was taken off, i had no withdrawals from the medication. Good luck!

All of these drugs are in the same family (Benzodiazepines). The main difference is the “Half-Life” of the benzo. If a drug has a 4 hour half life, that means the amount in your bloodstream will be half of what it was 4 hours before. They all have the same physical dependence potential if the dose is equivalent (“addiction” usually implies abuse, physical dependence means that if you stop abruptly you will experience withdrawals). However, I wouldn’t worry to much about dependence or addiction, if you decide you don’t want to take these anymore your Dr. will gradually decrease your dosage, and at most you will experience mild discomfort These are safe drugs when taken as directed, but, there are certain risks, like if you abruptly stop taking a high dose (your dose isn’t that high), It’s very responsible of you to keep yourself informed, just don’t make any changes without contacting your doctor. here is a website which will convert one benzo to another. They have them listed oddly, so make sure you check the whole list. However, Ativan has a 2:1 Ratio to clonezapam (1mg of ativan is equivalent to 2mg’s of Clonezapam) in other words the ativan is stronger.
